BREAKDOWN OF 2020 MOVIE DELAYS, AND WHEN THEY WILL HIT THEATERS

So far, 2020 has been unpredictable, as movie studios and the film industry at large scramble to respond to an ever-changing global crisis. 

In early March, it was announced that the release date of the latest James Bond film (and Daniel Craig’s final outing in the role), No Time to Die, was being postponed from April to November, and it was only a matter of time before others followed suit. Sure enough, a whole slew of films have now announced release date changes, and not all of them have pinned down exactly when they plan to open. First Cow (2020)  – Released on March 6; being pulled from theaters for relaunch later in the year, new date unknown.


My Spy (2020)  – Removed from March 13 theatrical release; acquired by Amazon but launch date unknown.


The Truth (La vérité) (2020)  – Moved from March 20; new date unknown.


Blue Story (2020)  – Moved from March 20; new date unknown.


A Quiet Place Part II (2020)  – Moved from March 20 to September 4.


The Climb (2020)  – Moved from March 20; new date unknown.
